Yoshi Artist Secret Santa 2023

It's that time of year again! Or well, not really, but I want to allow players plenty of time to set up and draw. This year's theme is "Tree Ornaments!"

As a refresher, secret Santas go like this: Everyone becomes a "Santa" for another randomly selected player. That "Santa" draws the OC of that player, and submits it to me on December 21st in order to combine it into a collaborative image (don't show your recipient yet). You then send it to them on December 25th! If you are unavailable that day, I can give it to your recipient for you. Everyone simultaneously draws gift art for someone, and receives gift art themselves. Note that you don't trade art with your recipient, your Santa and your gift recipient are different people.

I thought an optional theme this year might be fun, so I went with "Tree Ornaments." My suggestion would be to draw your recipient's OC creating, holding, or placing an ornament on a tree. Who knows, maybe I might just take all the ornaments drawn and do something special with them... But it is still optional.

Sign up by DMing me on here or on Discord (spider_). Artists of ALL skill levels are welcome to participate! Make sure to send me your OC (ideally a reference image) that you wish be drawn by your Santa.

Details:

• Sign ups close on November 29th
• Your recipient for the gift art is revealed to you December 1st. This is a secret, please do not tell ANYONE this, especially not your recipient!
• The due date for the art is December 21st, meaning you have exactly 3 weeks to finish. I'd suggest starting immediately though, as you never know if something will come up later that prevents you from finishing on time
• Reveal your art to your recipient and publicly on December 25th. Don't show anyone besides me before then!
• Yoshis are recommended, but other non-human Mario species such as Koopas, Hammer Bros etc are allowed
• Your submission must at least be waist up, and at least have flat color. No sketches or black and white line art please
• You can submit 3D art, but it must be custom modeled, not a posed existing model
• Art must be SFW
