The holiday season is approaching, and the season of giving (and receiving) is upon us! This page will serve as the information hub for the gift art exchange in the form of a Secret Santa!

How does it work?

• On November 26th, each person who signed up will recieve a link with a Nintendo OC reference and some ideas for what to draw. Do not tell your assigned player you are their Secret Santa!
• Those who signed up then will create art of their assigned player's OC. It has to at least be flat colored. A good idea is to start right away, in case something comes up later!
• By December 21st, preferrably earlier, artists must secretly turn in their completed works to the organizers. A presentation page will be built, as well as organizing a release of the individual pieces.
• On December 26th, the organizers will reveal to your assigned player that you are their Secret Santa, and will show them the gift art you created for them. You can also present the gift to your assigned player personally, but naturally not everyone will be available that day.

How do I sign up?

You can:

• Post on the Secret Santa thread on the Yoshi Family Discord
• Post a comment on the announcement on YoshiArtists.com
• Send a Twitter (if it's still around) DM to @YoshiDonoshi or @ej22Y
• Message Donoshi or Clay EJ22 on Discord

Once in communication with an organizer, you need to provide your preferred contact method (usually Discord or if it's still around, Twitter), a link to your OC's description, and some (SFW) ideas for your gift maker, in case they need inspiration.

FAQ

• I don't have a Yoshi OC, can I participate? Sure! Also welcome are Koopas, Dry Bones, King Koopas (Bowser/Koopalings), Plessies, Rexes, and any other non-human Nintendo OC you can think of!
• Can I submit gifts besides art? No, sorry.
• What mediums are accepted? Digital, traditional, and 3D. If 3D/CGI, it can't simply be a posed existing model
• Does the art have to be colored? Yes, at least flat color.
• I'm not sure I can do it on time... Best sit it out then. Remember, you're making a gift for someone! It's very important they recieve something as well after their own hard work on a present.
• Do I have to go with the idea my assigned player recommended? No, they are just suggestions. Not everyone will know each other well enough to come up with a gift without needing to ask.
• Am I "qualified" enough to join? You should definitely have at least drawn before, as it is a custom piece of art with a time limit. But there is no such thing as "not being good enough!" It is the effort and thought put into the gift that counts.
• Really? Now? It's not even December yet! True, but it's important to give all the artists as much time as they can, so nobody is stressed and everyone gets a gift with time and effort put into it!
